PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER BERBASIS BUDAYA SEKOLAH DI SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI KRATON YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya sekolah di Sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri Kraton Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Kepala SD Negeri Kraton Yogyakarta dengan unit analisis SD Negeri Kraton Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah melaksanakan pendidikan 18 nilai karakter melalui budaya sekolah. Budaya sekolah meliputi ide, gagasan, norma berbentuk visi dan misi yang mengutamakan nilai religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, cinta tanah air, serta gemar membaca, diwujudkan dalam bentuk aktivitas dan perilaku, serta didukung dengan tersedianya fasilitas berbentuk benda fisik.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of character education based on school culture at Kraton Yogyakarta State Elementary School. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The subject of this research was Headmaster of Kraton Yogyakarta State Elementary School with the analysis unit was Kraton Yogyakarta State Elementary School. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation study. The data validity test used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The data analysis techniques used the Miles & Huberman models that included data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The result of the research shows that the school has implemented the education of 18 characters value through school culture. School culture consists of ideas and norms that formed in religious, honesty, tolerance, dicipline, hardworking, creative, independent, curiousity, love the country, and reading habit based vision and mission that had implemented in activity and behavior, also supported by physical facilities.
