PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TGT

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada siswa kelas V SD N Kebonagung.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Terdapat peningkatan prestasi belajar IPS dari pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Pada pra siklus diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 34,37%, siklus I sebesar 51,61%, dan siklus II sebesar 87,5%. Jadi dari pra siklus ke siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,24%, dan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 35,89%. Dengan demikian penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD N Kebonagung.

Abstract

This research aims atknowing the improvement of Social Studieslearning achievement using cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournaments typein student of class V SD N Kebonagung. This research was Classroom Action Research. This research’s desain used Kemmis and Mc Taggart consist of planning, action &observation, and reflection.The data collection through test and observation. The data analysis through quantitative and qualitative. There are some significant improvements in students’s achievement on Social Studies learning from pre-cycle, first cycle, and second cycle . In the pre-cycle student’s achievement on the subject is34,37%, fisrt cycle is 51,61%, and second cycle is87,5%. So, from the pre-cycle to first cycle their achievement had improved by 17,24%, and from first cycle to second cycle by 35,89%. Therefore, the implementation ofcooperative learning model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT)type is proven to be effective in improving student’s achievement on Social Studiesof class V SD N Kebonagung.
