PELAKSANAAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DI KELAS IV SD NEGERI NIRMALA KABUPATEN BANTUL

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran di kelas IV SD Negeri Nirmala Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas IV dan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Nirmala Kabupaten Bantul. Objek penelitian ini
adalah kegiatan-kegiatan yang merupakan bentuk pelaksanaan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis
dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas IV SD Negeri Nirmala sudah dilaksanakan. Langkah-langkah kegiatan dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik sudah diterapkan guru di kelas secara maksimal meskipun dalam proses kegiatan pembelajarannya guru belum mengkondisikan kegiatan siswa dengan
efektif. Siswa sudah diarahkan dan difasilitasi oleh guru dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran mulai dari kegiatan mengamati, kegiatan menanya, kegiatan mencoba/ mengumpulkan informasi, kegiatan menalar/ mengolah informasi, dan yang terakhir kegiatan mengkomunikasikan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah bertindak sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing, dan pengarah dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to describe of the implementation of the scientific approach in learning in Grade IV of SD Negeri Nirmala, Bantul Regency. This was a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were the teacher and students of Grade IV of SD Negeri Nirmala, Bantul Regency. The research objects were activities as the manifestation of the implementation of the scientific approach in learning in Grade IV of SD Negeri Nirmala, Bantul Regency. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. They were
analyzed through the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data trustworthiness was enhanced by source and technique triangulations. The results of the study show that the scientific approach has
been implemented in learning in Grade IV of IV SD Negeri Nirmala. The steps in learning through the scientific approach have been maximally taken by the teacher although in learning process teacher have not been conditioned the students activity effectively. The students have been guided and facilitated by the teacher to do the learning activities, starting from observing, questioning, experimenting/collecting information, associating/processing information, to communicating as the final activity. In addition, the results of the study show that the teacher has acted as a facilitator, guide, and supervisor in the learning process.
