PERSEPSI GURU TERHADAP METODE PROBLEM SOLVING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETRAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DI SDN BAKALAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan persepsi guru terhadap metode problem solving dalam meningkatkan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas III SD Negeri Bakalan, Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru kelas III yang berjumlah 1 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian adalah wawancara dan Dokumentasi.
Teknik analisis data menggunakan tahapan Miles dan Hubberman yaitu, data reduction (reduksi data), data display (penyajian data), dan conclusion drawing/ verivcation (penarikan kesimpulan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru belum sepenuhnya melakukan langkah-langkah problem solving dalam pembelajaran, selain itu siswa belum begitu paham tentang pembelajaran menggunakan metode problem solving. Hal ini menyebabkan pelaksanaan metode problem solving dalam pembelajaran tidak berjalan maksimal. Pembelajaran menggunakan pemecahan masalah belum terlaksana dengan baik karena terkendala oleh waktu. Penerapan metode problem solving dalam pemecahan masalah mengajarkan siswa tentang langkah pemecahan masalah yang benar. Tetapi pelaksanaannya belum berjalan maksimal.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the teacher's perception toward the problem solving method to improve mathematic problem solving skill in SDN Bakalan, Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive kualitative research and the subject in this study was a teacher in grade 3. The technique of data collecting in this study were interview and documentation. The technique of data analysis used Miles and Hubberman steps,there were the data of reduction,the data of display and the conclusion drawing/verivication. The result of this study showed that teacher was not able to do the steps of problem solving in teaching learning process. Beside the students did not understand about the learing process used the problem solving method. This led to the implementation of the problem
solving method in teaching learning process was not running optimally. Teaching learning process used the problem solving was not done well because the limit of time. Application of problem solving taught students about the right steps of problem solving. But the implementation was not running optimally.
