PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI GUNUNGSAREN BANTUL

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode eksperimen terhadap keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Gunungsaren Bantul. Metode penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment dengan desain  Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas IV,dengan rincian kelas IVA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IVB sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar serta observasi keterampilan proses IPA. Rata – rata post-test keterampilan proses IPA kelas eksperimen 75,23 dengan kategori baik sedangkan kelas kontrol 65,71 dengan kategori cukup. Rata - rata post-test hasil belajar IPA kelas eksperimen 76,09 dengan kategori baik, sedangkan kelas kontrol 68,19 dengan kategori cukup. Rata – rata hasil observasi keterampilan proses IPA kelas eksperimen 82,87 dengan kategori baik, sedangkan kelas kontrol 66,34 dengan kategori cukup. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh positif penggunaan metode eksperimen terhadap keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Gunungsaren Bantul.

Abstract

The aims of the research were meant to know the effect of experimental method to science process skill and science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gunungsaren Bantul. This research used Quasi Experimental Design Method by the design of nonequivalent control group. The population of this research was all the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gunungsaren Bantul, with the sample IVA as experimental class group and class IVB as the control group class. The data collecting technique used process skill test and science learning outcomes test and the observation of science process skill. The research results show that the average of the post-test of science process skill of the experimental class was 75.23 with a good category while the control class was 65.71 with an adequate category. The average of the post-test of science learning outcomes of the experimental class was 76.09 with a good category while the control class was 68.19 with an adequate category. The average of the observation of Science process skill of the experimental class was 82.87 with a good category while in the control class was 66.34 with an adequate category. Thus, there is a positive effect of using experimental method to the process skill and Science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gunungsaren Bantul.
