PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SDN GADINGAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gadingan Kecamatan Wates. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya motivasi belajar IPA siswa Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah eksperimen. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi experimental design bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7-17 April 2015. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gadingan kecamatan Wates kabupaten Kulon Progo. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, kuesioner, dan tes. Data hasil penelitian disajikan menggunakan teknik analisis data statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mean kelompok eksperimen yaitu 81,82 berada pada kategori motivasi belajar sangat tinggi dan mean kelompok kontrol yaitu 71,42 berada pada kategori motivasi belajar tinggi. Selain itu, hasil nilai evaluasi kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) mempunyai pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gadingan kecamatan Wates.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the impact of Problem Based Learning  methods on students’ motivation in learning science V grade in SDN Gadingan in district wates.This research was motivated by the importance of motivation in learning  science for elementary school students. The research type was experiment. The research design was quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design.The research population was student grade V at SD N Gadingan. This research was done on 7-17 April 2015. The data collection methods in this research were observation, questionnaire, and test. The data analysis of this research was descriptive statistics. The result of the research  showed that the mean of the experiment group was 81.82 (very high category) and the control group mean was  71.42 (high category). The results of the evaluation the experimental group was higher than the control group. It showed that problem based learning (PBL) methods has an positive impact on learning motivation students grade V at SDN Gadingan districts Wates.
