IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM MEMBACA SENYAP DI KELAS IV B SD NEGERI NGOTO

Abstrak

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi termasuk di dalamnya proses pencetusan ide, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan hambatan pelaksanaan program membaca senyap di kelas IV B SD N Ngoto. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pencetusan ide program membaca senyap berasal dari program kerjasama SD N Ngoto dengan lembaga USAID PRIORITAS; (2) perencanaan program dilakukan dengan merencanakan kegiatan sosialisasi, waktu dan tempat, penanda, penyediaan fasilitas, tagihan, dan langkah pelaksanaan; (3) program diawali dengan sosialisasi guru ke siswa, dilaksanakan di dalam dan luar kelas selama 15 menit setiap pagi hari, guru memberikan aba-aba sebagai penanda, menyediakan fasilitas berupa bahan bacaan dan 8 pusat baca bagi kelas IV B, tagihan berupa diskusi kata sukar dan meringkas buku, serta pelaksanaan membaca senyap dilakukan setelah siswa berdoa bersama; (4) evaluasi kegiatan disisipkan pada rapat bulanan sekolah, hasil evaluasi yaitu perlu peningkatan kedisiplinan guru dan siswa saat membaca senyap, dan koordinasi serta tanggungjawab dari berbagai pihak terkait program membaca senyap; (6) hambatan yang dialami berupa kendala sirkulasi buku yang kurang sesuai dengan minat dan karakteristik siswa kelas IV serta perilaku membaca beberapa siswa yang kurang baik.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation including idea generation process, planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles of silent reading program in class IV B of SD N Ngoto. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The result of the research showed that: (1) the idea of silent reading program came from the SD N Ngoto cooperation program with USAID PRIORITAS institution; (2) program planning was done by planning socialization activities, time and place decision making, time marker, provision of facilities, tasks, and implementation steps; (3) the program began with the socialization to students by their teachers, the program held at out or in the classroom for 15 minutes every morning, the teacher gave a signal as a marker, provided facilities: reading materials and 8 reading centers for class IV B, the tasks were discussing about difficult words and summarized books, and silent reading performed after students pray together; (4) evaluation of silent reading program inserted in school monthly meetings, and the results were: needed discipline improvement from teachers and students while reading silently, and coordination and responsibility of various parties related to silent reading program; (6) obstacles experienced were book circulation are less in accordance with the interests and characteristics of students in grade IV and reading behavior of some students who were less good.
