PENGARUH TINGKAT PERHATIAN ORANG TUA DAN PEMBERIAN PENGUATAN GURU TERHADAP PERCAYA DIRI

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara tingkat perhatian orang tua dan pemberian penguatan guru terhadap percaya diri siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Gugus I Kecamatan Seyegan, Kabupaten Sleman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 107 siswa yang diambil melalui teknik proportional random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 146 siswa Uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji multikolinearitas. Pengujian hipotesis menggunkan analisis regresi liner sederhana, dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) tingkat perhatian orang tua berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap percaya diri siswa dengan sumbangan sebesar 32,5%; 2) pemberian penguatan guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap percaya diri siswa dengan sumbangan sebesar 21,7%; 3) tingkat perhatian orang tua dan pemberian penguatan guru secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap percaya diri siswa dengan sumbangan sebesar 54,2%.

Abstract

This research aims at determining the effect of parents’ attention and teachers’ reinforcement towards fourth graders’ self-confidence in Cluster I of Seyegan, Sleman. The type of this research was ex-post facto which used quantitative approach. The samples of this research were 107 students who were taken into account from the populations of 146 fourth graders of public elementary school students in Cluster I of Seyegan, Sleman. The prerequisite analysis of the data was tested by using normality, linearity, and multicollinearity test. Simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to test the hypothesis. Simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to test the hypothesis. The research results show that: 1) parents’ attention significantly and positively affected fourth graders’ self-confidence indicated by 32.5% of contribution value; 2) teachers’ reinforcement significantly and positively affected fourth graders’ self-confidence indicated by 21.7% of contribution value; 3) parents’ attention and teachers’ reinforcement all together positively and significantly affected fifth graders’ self-confidence indicated by 54.2% of contribution value.
