PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V MENGGUNAKAN TGT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) di SD Negeri 5 Wates, Kulon Progo. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD Negeri 5 Wates berjumlah 31 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Instrumen berupa lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator keberhasilannya adalah 75% siswa memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yaitu dengan nilai 75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament. Setelah tindakan siklus I siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan 23 siswa (74%) dan belum tuntas 8 siswa (26%). Setelah dilakukan tindakan siklus II, siswa tuntas meningkat sebanyak 29 (93%) dan belum tuntas 2 siswa (7%).

Abstract

This research aims to improve social studies learning result of 5th grade using cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type at SD Negeri 5 Wates, Kulon Progo. The type of this research was classroom action research with 31 students of 5th grade at SD Negeri 5 Wates. This research used Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. Data were collected using tes and observation. The instrument of this research were observation sheets and tests. Data analysis were conducted using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The succes indicator of this reseach was 75% from the students who has fulfilled the KKM with a skor 75. The results show that the application of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) on the Sosial Studies subject can improve student learning outcomes of 5th grade SD Negeri 5 Wates. After the first cycle, 23 students (74%) have fulfilled the KKM and 8 students (26%) have not succeeded yet. Then after the second cycle, 29 students (29%) have succeeded and 2 students (7%) have not succeeded yet.
