PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE ROLE PLAYING PADA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui proses peningkatan hasil belajar IPS dan 2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPS melalui metode role playing siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bogo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif dan psikomotor dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan metode role playing. Hasil belajar aspek kognitif mengalami peningkatan persentase ketuntasan dari pra siklus sebesar 10%, siklus I 55%, dan siklus II 95%. Hasil belajar aspek psikomotor dengan memperoleh persentase pada siklus I 20% dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 75%. Penelitian ini dihentikan sampai siklus II karena sudah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan tindakan yaitu ≥75% siswa mencapai nilai KKM (≥76) dan 75% siswa berperilaku baik.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: 1) to perceive the process of improving social studies learning achievement and 2) to find out the 5th grade students’ social studies learning achievement through role playing method implementation in SD Negeri Bogo. This research was a collaborative classroom action research. The design of the research was Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The data was collected by observation and test. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive were used as the analytic techniques. The result of this research proves that role playing method definitely improve the 5th grade students’ cognitive and psychomotor aspects of social studies learning achievement. Cognitive aspect of learning achievement increases from pre cycle 10%, cycle I 55%, and cycle II 95%. Psychomotor aspect of learning achievement increases from cycle I 20% and increases in cycle 2 to 75%. This research finishes in cycle II because the indicator of success reaches the minimum point of success criteria ≥76 and 75% of students behave well during learning process.
