PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MELALUI PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN TGT KELAS IV SD

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan proses model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Gombang, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Gombang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan tipe TGT terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu: (1) presentasi Kelas, (2) pengelompokan, (3) permainan, (4) turnamen, dan (5) pengakuan Kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan TGT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Gombang. Peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dari kegiatan pra tindakan dan setiap siklus, yaitu pada pra tindakan sebesar 26,31% pada akhir siklus I meningkat menjadi 42,10%, pada akhir siklus II meningkat menjadi 78,94%. Hasil belajar afektif juga menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 62,55% meningkat di siklus II menjadi 79,20%.

Abstract

The aims of the research are (1) to describe the process of cooperative learning type TGT in improving the learning result of social study for fourth grade students in Elementary School Gombang 2, (2) to describe the improvement of learning result by using cooperative learning type TGT for fourth grade students in Elementary School Gombang 2. The type of the research was Classroom Action Research which was done collaboratively. The techniques of collecting data were observation, test, and documentation. The learning process by using type TGT consisted of five steps: 1) class presentation, 2) grouping, 3) games, 4) tournament, and 5) group confession. The result of the research shows that implementation of TGT can improve the avhievement for fourth grade students of Elementary School Gombang 2. The improvement cognitive result were 26,31% in pretest, 42,10% by the end of cycle I, and 78,94% by the end of cycle II. The affective result has improved from 62,55% in cycle I and 79,20% in cycle II.
