UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) siswa kelas V SD Negeri Petir I Rongkop Gunungkidul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan secara kolaborasi antara peneliti dengan guru kelas menggunakan model spiral Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Petir I Rongkop Gunungkidul yang terdiri dari 17 siswa laki-laki dan 7 siswa perempuan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi.  Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskiptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 72,40 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 70,83%. Pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 91,15 dengan ketuntasan belajar 95,83%. Sementara aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 53,47% atau kategori sangat kurang pada siklus I menjadi 82,12% atau kategori baik pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the student’s social study result by applying the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of Cooperative Learning model in grade 5th of SD Negeri Petir I Rongkop Gunungkidul. The kind of this reasearch is classroom action reasearch which was conducted in collaboration between the researcher and classroom teacher used the Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s spiral model. The subject of this research was the student of grade 5th at SD Negeri Petir I Rongkop Gunungkidul which consists of 17 male students and 7 female students. This research conducted for two cycles. Data collection techniques used test (pre-test and post-test), observation, field record, dan documentation. Data analysis techniques used one quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. The result of the research showed that the student’s study result made improvement after applied the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of Cooperative Learning. In cycle 1 obtained class average mark of 72.40 with the learning acquirement of 70,83%. In cycle 2 obtained class average mark of 91.15 with the the learning acquirement of 95,83%. Meanwhile, the student activity improved from 53,47% (very inadequate category) on the cycle 1 become 82.12% (good category) on the cycle 2.
