DEVELOPMENT OF MULTI-REPRESENTATION-BASED MODULE FOR INCREASING THE INTEREST AND STUDENT’S PHYSICAL LEARNERS’ MASTERY OF MAN 3 SLEMAN

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk berupa modul fisika berbasis multi representasi yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat dan penguasaan materi Usaha dan Energi peserta didik berdasarkan penilaian validator dan hasil uji coba di sekolah, (2) mengetahui besar peningkatan minat peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul berbasis multi representasi, dan (3) mengetahui besar peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul berbasis multi representasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran dengan desain pengembangan 4D (define, design, develope, dan disseminate). Subjek penelitian pada uji empiris dengan 31 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan, uji coba terbatas dengan 32 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 MAN 3 Sleman, dan uji coba operasional dengan 30 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 2 MAN 3 Sleman. Teknik pengambilan data dengan tes tertulis, angket, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah CVR dan CVI, SBi, percentage of agreement, interjudge agreement, alpha cronbach, standard gain, dan effect size. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) telah dihasilkan modul fisika berbasis multi representasi pada materi Usaha dan Energi layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat dan penguasaan materi peserta didik, (2) peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul berbasis multi representasi dengan gain 0,16 pada kategori rendah, dan (3) peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul berbasis multi representasi ditunjukkan dengan gain 0,53 pada kategori sedang. Kata kunci: modul, multi representasi, minat belajar, penguasaan materi Abstract This study is to: (1) produce a multi-representation-based module feasible to be used to foster learners' interest and mastery of material based on validator assessments and test results at school, (2) find out the degree of increase in learner’s interest after using multi-representation-based module, and (3) find out the degree of improvement in learners' mastery of material after using multi-representation-based module. This studyis a development research (R & D) to develop learning media using 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The subject of the empirical test was 31 students of class XI IPA 2 of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan, the subject of the limited trial was 32 students of class X MIPA 1 of MAN 3 Sleman, and the subject of the operational trial was 30 students of class X MIPA 2 of MAN 3 Sleman. Data collection techniques were test questions, questionnaires, and observation. The analysis technique were CVR and CVI, SBi, percentage of agreement, interjudge agreement, alpha cronbach, standard gain, and effect size. The results of this study are as follows: (1) a multi-representation-based module on Business and Energy material that is feasible to be used in learning to foster learners’ interest and mastery of material has been produced, (2) learners’ interest improves with a gain of 0.16 in low category after using multi-representation-based module, and (3) learners’ mastery improves with a gain of 0.53 in medium category after using multi-representation-based module.
