DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MEDIA OF PHYSICSPUZZLE FOR INCREASE THE MASTERY OF THE SUBJECT MATTER AND INTERST IN PHYSICS LEARNING OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran puzzle fisika yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi dan minat belajar fisika peserta didik SMA, (2) mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik SMA menggunakan media pembelajaran puzzle fisika, dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan minat belajar fisika peserta didik SMA menggunakan media pembelajaran puzzle fisika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D) menurut Borg and Gall. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall terdiri dari enam tahap yaitu: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi produk, revisi produk, dan uji coba produk. Uji coba yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari uji coba terbatas pada kelas XI IPA 2 dan uji coba lapangan pada kelas XI IPA 1 di SMA Al Irsyad Cilacap. Kelayakan produk puzzle fisika diperoleh melalui nilai SBI, peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik diketahui berdasarkan hasil pretest dan postest, sedangkan peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik diketahui berdasarkan hasil angket minat belajar sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan media puzzle fisika.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) produk media pembelajaran puzzle fisika pada materi teori kinetik gas yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik, (2) peningkatan penguasaan materi sebesar 0,67 dengan kategori sedang, dan (3) peningkatan minat belajar fisika peserta didik SMA sebesar 0,41 dengan kategori sedang. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran puzzle fisika, teori kinetik gas, penguasaan materi, minat belajar Abstract The research aims to: (1) produce a physics puzzle learning media that is suitable to improve mastery of learning material and interest in physics learning of high school student, (2) to know mastery of learning materials improving of high school student using physics puzzle learning media, and (3) to know improvement of interest in physics learning of high school student using physics puzzle learning media. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) according to Borg and Gall. Borg and Gall’s research and development method consist of six stage : potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, and product testing. Teh experiment in this research are limited trial in XI IPA 2 class and field trials in XI IPA 1 class at SMA Al Irsyad Cilacap. The feasibility of the physics puzzle product is obtained through the value of SBI, the improvement of mastery of learning material is known based on the pretest and posttest result. The improvement of interest in physics learning is known based on the questionnaire before and after usi ng physics puzzle for learning media. The result of the research shows that: (1) physics puzzle learning media product on material of kinetic gas theory is feasible to be used with very good category, (2) improvement of learning material mastery equal to 0,67 with medium category, and (3) the improvement of interest in physics learning of high school student equal to 0,41 with medium category.
