PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BELAJAR MANDIRI BERBASIS APLIKASI WHATSAPP UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA KELAS XI SMA N 1 PURWOKERTO

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp yang layak; (2) mengetahui apakah produk media berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp sebagai sumber belajar mandiri dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar fisika; (3) mengetahui besar peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mempelajari fisika materi pokok efek rumah kaca setelah diimplementasikan media berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan 4D Models (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA 6 dan XI MIA 7 SMA N 1 Purwokerto. Data penelitian dijaring menggunakan instrumen angket validasi, angket respon peserta didik, angket motivasi, dan soal pretest-posttest. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kriteria penilaian ideal produk media, analisis validitas instrumen Expert Judgement, analisis validitas soal program ITEMAN, analisis statistika multivariat, serta analisis Standar Gain. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) media sumber belajar mandiri berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dengan penilaian validator pada seluruh aspek masuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata 124; (2) media sumber belajar mandiri berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik; (3) peningkatan motivasi peserta didik setelah diimplementasikan media sumber belajar mandiri berbasis aplikasi layanan WhatsApp menunjukkan nilai standar gain 0,1 pada kategori rendah, sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan nilai standar gain 0,41 pada kategori sedang. Kata kunci: media, belajar mandiri, fisika, efek rumah kaca, motivasi, hasil belajar Abstract The purposes of this research are: (1) producing decent learning media based on WhatsApp instant messaging application; (2) knowing the product of media based on WhatsApp instant messaging application can be used to improve motivation and learning outcomes in learning physics; (3) knowing the amount of improvement of students’ motivation and learning outcome in learning physics of greenhouses effect subject after the implementation of learning media based on WhatsApp instant messaging application. This study is a Research and Development (R & D) research with 4D Models (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects of the study were students of class XI MIA 6 and XI MIA 7 SMA N 1 Purwokerto. The research data was collected using validation questionnaire, student's response questionnaire, motivation questionnaire, and pretest-posttest question test. Data analysis used are ideal scoring criteria, instrument validity analysis, questions test validity, analysis of media implementation using multivariate analysis, and analysis of Standard Gain. The result of this research are (1) media of self-learning source based on WhatsApp instant messaging service application developed is declared feasible with validator assessment on all aspects in very good category with average score at 124; (2) self-learning media resources based on WhatsApp instant messaging service application can be used to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes; (3) improvement of students motivation after implemented with media self-learning resources based on WhatsApp Instant messaging service application shows the value of standard gain 0.1 in low category, while improving students learning outcomes with value of standard gain at 0.41 in the medium category.
