Abstract


This study aimed to develop educational quiz “Aku Cinta Indonesia” based
Adobe Flash CS3 as learning media of reading comprehension for advanced level
of Indonesian as second language learner in Yogyakarta State University.
This study was a research and development (RnD) with Borg and Gall
procedure were then simplified so that consists of six stages, those were: (1) needs
analysis, (2) designing the product, (3) production, (4) validation, (5) revision, and
(6) field testing. The subject of this study were material experts, media experts,
and the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) China students as
advanced level of Indonesian as second language learners. The technique of
collecting data was done using questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out by
changing the quantitative data into qualitative data using a Likert scale with scores
range from 1 to 5.
The results showed that the learning media, educational quiz "Aku Cinta
Indonesia", was feasible to be used based on the validations of material experts,
media experts, and students as users. The material experts gave assessment with
the following details. The quality of the material gained average score 4,64 with
the feasibility level was 92,80% and classified as “Highly Feasible”. The aspect of
learning content gained average score 4,68 with the feasibility level was 93,60%
and classified as “Highly Feasible”. The media experts gave assessment with the
following details. The display aspect gained average score 4,53 with the
feasibility level was 90,60% and classified as “Highly Feasible”, while the
programming aspect gained average score 4,72 with the feasibility level was
94,40% and classified as “Highly Feasible”. The users gave assessment with the
following details. The quality of the material gained average score 4,06 with the
feasibility level was 81,20% and classified as “Feasible”. The aspect of learning
content gained average score 4,38 with the feasibility level was 87,60%  and
classified as “Highly Feasible”. The display and programming aspect gained
average score 4,12 with the feasibility level was 82,40% and classified as
“Feasible”, while the benefit aspect gained average score 4,33 with the feasibility
level was 86,60% and classified as “Highly Feasible”.
