### KEEFEKTIFAN PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI QUESTION INTO PARAGRAPH (QUIP) BERBANTUAN MEDIA FLOW CHART DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 2 WEDI KLATEN

#### Abstract

The purpose of this research are (1) to determine the whereabouts of the

difference skill of write explanation text between students use QUIP strategy

assisted flow chart media with students without use QUIP strategy assisted flow

chart media, (2) to test the effectiveness of the use QUIP strategy assisted flow

chart media in learning of write explanation text in the Class VII Junior High

School 2 Wedi, Klaten.

This research is quantitative research with method of quasi experiment.

Design of this research used pretes-posttest control group design. Variables of this

research have two variables, first is independent variable that is QUIP strategy

assisted flow chart and dependent variable that is skill of write explanation text.

Population of this research are all students of Class VII Junior High School 2

Wedi, Klaten which divided in 8 class, while sample used there are two class by

distribution 1 class as a control class and 1 class as a experiment class. The

sample technique in this research use cluster random sampling namely by means

of the point (way of raffle), the result of the draw obtained, class VII C as a

control class were 34 students and class VII E as a experiment class were 34

students. Technique data collection used method write discussion test of

explanation text. The validation instrument in this research was validation of the

contents with reviewed by expert judgment and reability test with the formula of

alpha Cronbach. The technique of analysis data used uji-t technique with regard to

the requirements of normality and homogeneity.

The result of the research showed the differences skill of write the

explanation text significant between students given learning with QUIP strategy

assisted flow chart media and students given learning without QUIP strategy

assisted flow chart media. This is proven from the calculation of uji-t, the end of

data scores of skill write explanation text from experiment class and control class

known value of 8.507, db 66, and p of 0.000 (p < 0.05) so expressed significant.

The results of uji-t test, first test score and final test score of experiment class

known value of -22.102, db 33, and p of 0.000 (p < 0.05) so expressed significant.

Based on the results, so the use of QUIP strategy assisted flow chart media more

effective use in the learning write the explanation text in students class VII Junior

High School 2 Wedi, Klaten.
