ANALISIS PELAKSANAAN PRAKTIK PENGELASAN BAJA KARBON BAGI MAHASISWA D4-TEKNIK MESIN UNY

Abstract


   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan praktik pengelasan baja karbon bagi mahasiswa D4-Teknik Mesin UNY, kondisi bengkel pengelasan Kampus Wates, metode yang digunakan dosen saat praktik pengelasan baja karbon hasil praktik pengelasan baja karbon mahasiswa D4-Teknik Mesin UNY dan hambatan pelaksanaan praktik pengelasan baja karbon bagi mahasiswa D4-Teknik Mesin UNY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini mahasiswa D4-Teknik Mesin UNY angkatan 2020-2021 dengan sampelnya 86 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan: Wawancara, Angket/Kuisioner, Observasi, Dokumentasi. Instrumen diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya sebelum digunakan dan dianalisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan praktik pengelasan baja karbon bagi mahasiswa D4-Teknik Mesin UNY berjalan sangat baik, kondisi bengkel di Kampus Wates cukup baik, kekurangannya adalah kapasitas ruangannya tidak terlalu besar, dosen menggunakan metode demonstrasi, hasil praktik cukup baik, rerata terkecil dan terbesar dari 5 kelas kecil adalah 71,9 dan 84,3 adapun hambatan cenderung pada kemampuan individual, waktu praktik yang kurang efisien dan tingginya kasus Covid-19.

This study’s objective is to know carbon steel practices for D4-Mechanical Engineering (D4-ME) Student implementation, Wates Branch’s workshop condition, method used by the lecturer, D4-ME student’s Carbon steel practices result and the obstacle for implementing Carbon steel practices for YSU’s D4-ME student. This study is quantitative descriptive research. The subjects were UNY’s D4-ME student class of 2020-2021 with 86 as sample. The data collected through interview, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. Instrument has been tested for validity and reliability before used and analyzed descriptively. The conclusion, carbon steel practice for D4-ME students of UNY went excellently, Wates branch’s workshop condition was adequate, the drawback is the room capacity isnt large, lecturer used demonstration method, the results were decent, the smallest and highest average of 5 small classes were 71.9 and 84.3, obstacles in practice refer more to individual abilities, inefficient practice time and the high number of Covid-19 cases.
