PENGARUH METODE PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR PELAJARAN CNC KELAS XI PEMESINAN SMK N 1 PURWOREJO

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran CNC, mengungkap ada tidaknya pengaruh metode problem solving terhadap minat, dan menguji perbedaan pengaruh antara penerapan metode problem solving dan ceramah terhadap minat belajar siswa pada praktik CNC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan disain before-after treatment questionnaire. Data dari sebelum treatment/perlakuan dan setelah perlakuan diolah dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik t test dengan sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan minat belajar siswa baik kelas yang diajar dengan metode problem solving maupun kelas yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata minat siswa rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 59,46 dan kelompok kontrol adalah 56,68. Selain itu ada perbedaan minat siswa yang diajar dengan metode problem solving dengan kelas yang diajar dengan metode ceramah dengan hasil uji hipotesis dengan rumus uji independent sample test untuk kelas eksperimen didapatkan nilai t hitung kecil dan nilai Sig (2- tailed = 0,010) < ½ α (0,05). Minat belajar siswa terhadap praktik CNC kelas yang diajar dengan metode problem solving lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas yang diajar dengan metode ceramah.

The objectives of this research are to describe students’ learning interest on CNC subject, to reveal whether any influence of problem solving method toward interest, and to examine the different influences between the application of problem solving method and lecturing method toward students’ learning interest on CNC practice class. This research used a quasi-experimental method and before-after treatment questionnaire design. The data obtained from pretest and posttest were processed using statistics t-test analytical technique with independent sample. The results shows that there is an improvement toward students’ learning interest both the class which is taught using problem solving method and the class which is taught using lecturing method. The average of students’ learning interest in experimental class is 59,46 and in control class is 56,68. In addition there was a difference influences between the class which is taught using problem solving method and lecturing method by the results of hypothesis test or independent sample test for the experimental class, it was obtained the small t-count value and the Sig value (2-tailed = 0.010)<½ α (0.05). The students’ learning interest toward CNC practice class which is taught using problem solving method is better than the class which is taught using lecturing method.
