Abstract

 

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the model Inquiry Based Learning in improving achievement Microcontroller System at SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari. The achievement include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

This research was conducted by using quasi experimental. The research design used in Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subject of research is 58 students of SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari class XI EI 1 and XI EI 2 Industrial Electronics Engineering Skills Program. Determination of  control class and experimental  performed randomly. The result is class XI EI 1 as class control with treatment models Teacher Centered Learning, and class XI EI 2 as class experimental with treatment models Inquiry Based Learning. The effectiveness was done by comparing of achievement between control class and experimental. The data was collected using tests, questionnaires, and observation sheets.

The results of normality test showed that research data was normally distributed. Homogeneity test results indicate that variants of this research data was homogeneous. The data  analyzed using the t test. The results of t-test calculations indicate differences achievement between the control class and experimental. Based on the t test, significance value obtained is less than 5%. This is supported by the results of the t-test on cognitive aspect is 15,325,  affective aspect is 3,652, psychomotor aspect is 12,535, while value of ttable is 2,003 at significance level  5%. Based on the description of the data and the t test, it can be concluded that the model of Inquiry Based Learning effectively to improve achievement Microcontroller System at SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari.

Abstrak

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Inquiry Based Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Sistem Mikrokontroler di SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari. Hasil belajar tersebut meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design.  Subjek penelitiannya adalah 58 siswa SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari kelas XI EI 1 dan XI EI 2 Program Keahlian Teknik Elektronika Industri. Penentuan kelas kontrol dan eksperimen dilakukan secara random. Hasilnya adalah kelas XI EI 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan perlakuan model Teacher Centered Learning, dan kelas XI EI 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model Inquiry Based Learning. Efektivitas model Inquiry Based Learning dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan hasil belajar antara kelas kontrol dengan eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, angket, dan lembar observasi.

Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data penelitian berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa varian data penelitian ini homogen. Data tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis  menggunakan uji t. Hasil perhitungan uji t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Berdasarkan uji t, diperoleh nilai signifikansi kurang dari 5%. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil nilai thitung pada aspek kognitif sebesar 15,325, aspek afektif sebesar 3,652, aspek psikomotorik sebesar 12,535, sedangkan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,003 pada taraf signifikansi 5%.  Berdasarkan deskripsi data dan uji t, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Inquiry Based Learning efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar pelajaran Sistem Mikrokontroler di SMK Negeri 3 Wonosari.
