Abstract

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out: (1) the diferences of learning outcomes on cognitive, affective and psychomotoric aspect between the class that apply Project Based Learning model assisted by Sorting station and the class that apply conventional model, (2) the effectiveness of the implementation of Project Based Learning model assisted by Sorting Station reviewed by the improvement of students’ learning outcome in cognitive aspect on competence of microcontroller input-output programming of Microprocessor Engineering subject. This research is a quasi-experiment nonequivalent control group design. The data was analyze using descriptive analysis and nonparametric in the form of Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, and gain test. The results of this study are: (1) there are differences of students’ learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotoric aspects between the class that apply Problem Based Learning model assited by Sorting Station and the class that apply conventional model. It is based on Mann-Whitney data analysis with Asymp Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.00 <0.05; (2) the application of Problem Based Learning model assited by Sorting Station is more effective than the conventional learning model to improve the learning outcomes of cognitive aspect. It is based on data analysis using gain test, the average gain of experimental class is 0,40 and the average of control class gain with 0,19. The average gain score indicates that the experimental class is higher than the control class.
