IMPROVING THE GERMAN LANGUAGE READING SKILL OF THE GRADE XI STUDENTS OF SMAN 1 MINGGIR SLEMAN THROUGH KNOW-WANT-LEARNED TECHNIQUE

Abstract


The aims of this research are to increase: (1) the students' activity of the grade XI of SMAN 1 Minggir Sleman in reading skill German language learning, (2) the students achievment of the grade XI of SMAN 1 Minggir Sleman in German language reading skill through Know-Want- Learned technique. This research is a classroom action research. The strategy is determined collaboratively between researcher and teacher. The subject of this research is the grade XI IPA 1 student of SMAN 1 Minggir Sleman. The technique of data analysis in this research is descriptive qualitation, and reflection. The successful indicator of this research are: (1) a success process and (2) a success product. A Success process can be seen by the increasing students's activity of the grade XI IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Minggir Sleman in reading skill German language learning. A Process product can be seen by the increasing of the students achievment in German language reading skills. The result of this research indicates (1) 37.82% of percentage's improvement of students activity of grade XI IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Minggir Sleman in German language reading skill through Know-Want-Learned technique which the percentage reaches 92,3%.
