THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING ASSOCIOGRAM TECHNIQUES IN THE LEARNING OF THE WRITINGSKILL IN GERMAN AMONG THE STUDENTS OF GRADE XI SMA NEGERI 1 NGEMPLAK SLEMAN

Abstract


This study aimed to determine: (1) differences in learning achievement in writing skills German among the students of grade XI SMAN 1NgemplakSleman Regency between the taught using associogram techniques and taught using conventional teaching technique, (2) the effectiveness of associogramtechniquesin the learning of the writing inGerman among the students of grade XI of SMAN 1NgemplakSleman.This research is a quasi experimental. This study has two variables: the asosiogram technique as independent variables and writing skills as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMAN 1NgemplakSleman Regency, the entire population in class XI  students totaling 123 learners. The sampling technique using simple random sampling.Obtained from sampling class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class (31 learners) and XI IPS 1 as the control class(31 learners). The data obtained in the study of German language writing skills scores of students in the pre-test and post-test. The validity of the instrument using content validity and construct validity.The validity of the formula is calculated by Pearson Product Moment.Reliability is calculated with the formula Alpha Cronbach.Analysis of the data in this study using t-test.Based on the results of t-test analysis of the data shows that tobtained greater than ttable(3.348> 2.000) with significance level α = 0.05.This means that there is a difference in learning achievement German writing skills between the experimental class and the control class.The weight of the effectiveness of 8.25%.The average value of the post-test experimental class was 77,84higher than the average value of the post-test control class is 72,10so it can be concluded that the use of associogramtechnique is effective in learning the German language skills of writing.
