THE EFFORT TO IMPROVE GERMAN SPEAKING SKILLS OF GRADE X STUDENTS IN SMA N 1 PENGASIH KULON PROGO THROUGH TIME TOKEN TECHNIQUE

Abstract


This study aims to determine the speaking skills in german improvement of grade X students in SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo through time token technique. The action procedure conducted collaboratively between the teacher, the researcher and the students. This research is a classroom action research. The research subject is class X which are 30 students. The research procedures conducted in two cycles, each cycles consist of planning, action, observation, reflection, and evaluation. The techniques of collecting data consist of classroom observation, interview, questionnaire, taking note, documentation and speaking skills test. The data was described qualitatively. The result finding revealed that the german speaking skills of grade X students in SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo has increased by 12,87%. The achievement of process has also increased by 12,60%. The students become more asking enthusiastically, work in group and active in expressing the information or idea and answer.
