THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE STATIONENLERNEN METHOD IN THE GERMAN READING SKILLS FOR XI GRADE STUDENTS OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL OF JETIS BANTUL

Abstract


This study aims to determine (1) the significant differences learning achievement in the German reading skills for the XI grade students of senior high school one of Jetis Bantul between Stationenlernen methods rather than the conventional method; (2) the effectiveness of the of Stationenenlernen method in the German reading skills. This type of research is a quasi experiment. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. Test the validity of using the Product moment correlation. Reliability coefficient of 0.909. The results showed t.count 2,685 ist greater than t.table (at 2.014), at the level of α = 0.5. It can be concluded that there are significance of differences in German reading achievement skills for the XI grade students of senior high school one of Jetis Bantul between Stationenlernen methods rather than the conventional method. Post-test results of both groups showed that the mean of the experimental group while the control group at 22,979 and 22,087 of the weight of the effectiveness of 9.3%.It can be concluded that Stationenlernen metode is effective used in German language reading teaching skills.
