THE EFFECTIVENESS COLLABORATIVE STRATEGIC READING- TECHNIQUE (CSR) IN THE LEARNING OF GERMAN READING SKILLS AMONG THE STUDENTS OF CLASS X IN SMA N 2 BANGUNTAPAN BANTUL

Abstract


This study aims to know (1) the difference of achievement study in German language reading skillsteaching for student grade X in SMA Negeri 2 Banguntapan Bantul, between those which had been teach using “Collaborative Strategic Reading technique” and using convensional technique, (2) to determine the effectiveness of the use of “Collaborative Strategic Reading-Technique” in teaching reading skills in Germanlanguage reading skill teaching for student grade X in SMA Negeri 2 Banguntapan Bantul. This type of research is a quasi experiment. Sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Testing validity uses Korelasi Product Moment. The result of this validity test shows that 40 out of 45 questions are valid and 5 questions are not valid. The reliability was calculated by the KR-20. The Koefisien of reliability is 0,945. Data analyze used t-test. The results showed t count (at 2,651)is greater than t table (at 2,000), at the level of α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of “Collaborative Strategic Reading-Technique” in learning the German language reading.
