PHILOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND EXPLAINING PASEMONING PASRAWUNGAN IN LAYANG SASMITÅ WRIN NITYÅ

Abstract


            This research has seven purposes. The purposes of this research are (1) explaining the inventory of LSWN script, (2) explaining the description of LSWN script and text, (3) making the transcription of LSWN text, (4) making the transliteration of LSWN text, (5) editing the LSWN text, (6) translating the LSWN text, and (7) explaining pasemoning pasrawungan in LSWN. There were two research methods, philology research method and descriptive research method. Philology research method used to investigate LSWN text which written in Aksara Jawa. While descriptive research method used to explain the script and text of LSWN in objective way. The source of data in this research was taken from one of the collections of Dewantara Kirti Griya Tamansiswa Yogyakara library. The data collecting technique used philology techniques which were the script inventory, script and text description, text transcription, text transliteration, editing, translating and analyzing the data.  In this research, the validity was semantic validity. The reliability was intrarater and interrater. There are seven results in this research. First, explaining the inventory of 7 exemplar LSWN script. It becomes the source of data which is the collection of Dewantara Kirti Griya Tamansiswa Yogyakarta library, because of the condition of the script is good. Second, explaining the description of LSWN script and text which is still good, perfect and the script obviously legible, meanwhile there are some holes in certain papers. Third, writing diplomatic transcription by the purpose is to show the characteristics of text. Fourth, by using diplomatic transcription and standard, there are 3 words becoming the characteristic of text. Fifth, editing text standard edition and finding 8 words which is edited after that it is written into critique instrument. Sixth, from the result of translating that found 1 word which further written in footnote. Seventh, the contents of LSWN text explaining about pasemoning which is divided into 3: (1) face, (2) behavior, and (3) expression.
