ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan metode set system terhadap
kekuatan otot, hypertrophy otot, dan fleksibilitas pada members Fitness Center Club Arena Hotel Ibis
Malioboro Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan metode one
group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah members Fitness Center Club Arena
Hotel Ibis Malioboro Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 112 orang, antara tanggal 1 Mei 2015 sampai 1
Agustus 2015. Teknik sampling penelitian ini dengan cara purposive sampling, ditentukan sampel
sebanyak 16 members laki-laki. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan beban metode set system
terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai dengan hasil t-test sebesar -2,029, Kekuatan otot punggung dengan
hasil t-test sebesar-2,389, Kekuatan otot tangan (menggenggam) dengan hasil t-test sebesar-3,263,
Hypertrophy dengan hasil t-test sebesar -6,333, Fleksibilitas dengan hasil t-test sebesar -2,607.
Disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan latihan beban metode set system berpengaruh secara
signifikan terhadap kekuatan otot, hypertrophy, dan fleksibilitas.

THE EFFECT OF WEIGHT TRAINING USING SET SYSTEM METHOD TO
MUSCULAR STRENGHT, HYPERTROPHY MUSCLE AND FLEXIBILITY OF ARENA
FITNESS CENTER CLUB MEMBERS IBIS MALIOBORO HOTEL YOGYAKARTA
ABSTRACT
This study aims to find out the effect of set system method training to muscular strength,
hypertrophy muscle, and the flexibility of fitness center club members in Ibis Malioboro hotel
yogyakarta. This research is quasi experiment research using one group pretest-posttest design
method. The population of this research were the members of fitness center club arena ibis malioboro
hotel yogyakarta which contains of 112 people starting from 1 may 2015 to 1 august 2015. This
research used purposive sampling technique, which was decided 16 men members. In this research,
statistic descriptive analysis was used. The result of this research showed that there was significant
effect from weight training using set system method to leg muscle strength in the amount ot -2389 the,
result of t-test from arm muscle strength was -3263, the result of t-test from hypertrophy was -6333
and the result of t-test from flexibility was -2607. It can be concluded that weight training using set
system method affected to muscular strength, hypertrophy and flexibility significantly.
