PENGARUH MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI TERHADAP STUDENT ENGAGEMENT MAHASISWA BK UNY

            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi berprestasi terhadap student engagement mahasiswa bimbingan dan konseling Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala motivasi berprestasi dan skala student engagement Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sebanyak 91 mahasiswa (60,6%) memiliki motivasi berprestasi dengan kategori tinggi, 59 mahasiswa (32,6%) memiliki motivasi berprestasi dengan kategori sedang, dan tidak ada mahasiswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi dengan kategori rendah, (2) sebanyak 49 mahasiswa (32,6%) memiliki student engagement dengan kategori tinggi,  101 (67,3%) mahasiswa memiliki student engagement dengan kategori sedang, dan tidak ada mahasiswa yang memiliki student engagement dengan kategori rendah, (3) motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap student engagement mahasiswa BK UNY (nilai t = 13,945 dan nilai signifikansi = 0,000). Dengan demikian, diketahui bahwa dengan memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi maka akan dapat meningkatkan student engagement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was determine the effect of achievment motivation toward student engagement in guidance and couseling students of Yogyakarta University. This research was quantitative research. The technique of data collection was using scale of achievment motivation and scale of student engagement. Data analysis was using simple linear regression analysis. The result of this study indicated that: (1) as many as 91 students (60,6%) have high lavel of achievment motivation, 59 students (32,6%) have moderate lavel of achievment motivation, and there was no low level of  achievment motivation, (2) as many as 49 students (32,6%) have high lavel of student engagement,  101 students (67,3%) %) have moderate lavel of student engagement, and there was no low level of  student engagement, (3) achievment motivation has positive effect and significant toward student engagement in guidance and couseling students of Yogyakarta University (t = 13,945 and significant value = 0,000). Thus, it is known that by having high achievement motivation it will be able to increase student engagement.
