HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP SENSE OF HUMOR GURU DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

Abstrak

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan Klaten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi.  Populasi penelitian adalah sejumblah 184 siswa dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 119 orang dihitung menggunakan tabel yang dikembangkan Isaach dan Michael dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%, selanjutnya sampel ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa skala persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dan skala motivasi belajar siswa. Uji validitas instrument menggunakan validitas konstruk dengan uji expert judgment dan analisis butir dengan menggunakan  bivariate product moment dalam program SPSS for Windows versi 23.0. Uji reliabilitas instrument dihitung dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach, dan diperoleh nilai koefisien α 0,906 pada skala persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dan 0,873 pada skala motivasi belajar siswa . Analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan statistika non parametrik yaitu uji kendal tau karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa dengan korelasi koefisien -0,369 dan taraf signifikansi 0,00 (p < 0,05). Nilai R yang diperoleh adalah -0,396 dan R square 0,209. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Terdapat sumbangan efektif variabel persepsi siswa terhadap sense of humor guru dan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 18,09% dan 81,91% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor with student’s learning motivation in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan Klaten. This study used a quantitative approach with correlational design. Population of this study were 184 students and the samples of this study were 119 students which calculated by the issac and michael determination tables with an error rate of 5%, and then the samples determined by cluster random sampling technique. Data of this study was collected used student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor scale and student’s learning motivation  scale. Instrument’s test validity was done with expert judgment and item analysis with bivariate product moment on SPSS for windows versi 23.00. Instrument reliability was calculated by alpha cronbach and gave coefficient value as 0,906 on student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor scale and 0,873 on student’s learning motivations scale. The data analysis technique and hyphotesys was tested with non parametric statistic because data was not fullfiled normal distribution. The results showed that there is a relationship between student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor and student’s learning motivation. Correlation coefficient was -0,396 and Rsquare 0,209. The study have a conclusion that there is a negative relationship between student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor and student’s learning motivation. There was an effective contribution of student’s perception about teacher’s sense of humor to student’s learning motivation as much as 18,09% and as much as 81,91% was influenced by other factors.
