Abstract

Blood donation is the process of taking blood from a person voluntarily to be stored in a blood bank for later use in blood transfusions. In the blood donor activities there are parameters that will be selected to be a donor that is blood pressure, blood volume and pulse. These parameters can not be ignored because they can adversely affect the donor recipients. The design of the blood volume monitor, blood pressure and pulse rate based on ATMega32 aims to select blood donors based on blood pressure and blood volume with external storage system as data logger to support the needs in place that provide blood donor and facilitate the operator to monitor blood. The design of the monitoring blood volume, blood pressure and pulse based on ATMega32 consists of several stages: needs identification, needs analysis, system block diagram, system design, toolmaking step, program flow diagram, tool testing and data retrieval. This tool uses a mini component of ATMega32 microcontroller system, MPX5700 sensor, Pulse Sensor, MMC (Multimedia Card), DC motor as a wind pump directed to the tensimeter cuff, LCD Displays 20x4 as display media to display some information after or when measurement, push button button as a menu selector to be processed on microcontroller ATMega32 and CVAVR software as a microcontroller programming media. Based on the results of performance tests that have been done, the results obtained that the design of monitoring tool of blood volume, blood pressure and pulse based ATMega32 work with a percentage of success of 80%.
