STM32 ARM CORTEX-M AS A MICROCONTROLLER LEARNING MEDIA

Abstract


The purposes of this research are to reveal the design, find out the performance and determine the level of feasibility the STM32 ARM Cortex-M as a microcontroller learning media.
The research method use Research and Development (R&D) with the stages of development procedures including: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revisions, 6) test products, 7 ) product revisions, 8) usage tests, and 9) product revisions. The object in this research is the STM32 ARM Cortex-M as a microcontroller learning media. The subject of this research were student in the electronics engineering education study program FT UNY. Data collection techniques use include questionnaires and interviews with data analysis techniques use descriptive qualitative analysis techniques.
The results of this research are microcontroller learning media consisting of an STM32 ARM Cortex-M, two types of inputs, four types of output and a projectboard.The results of the assessment by media engineers score a percentage of 88.04% with a very feasible category. The results of the assessment by material engineers obtained a percentage score of 82.5% with a very feasible category. And the results of usage tests by students get a percentage score of 88.29% with a very decent category. Based on the results of the percentage score assessment it can be concluded that the STM32 ARM Cortex-M microcontroller learning media is very feasible to use.
