Abstract

Abstract

The purposes of this development research are to: (1) develop a learning module of PLC basic operation and PLC programming with sequential technique based problems. (2) test the learning module. (3) determine the increasing of student learning outcomes after using learning modul. This study is a Research and Development (R & D) using the Borg and Gall development model. The instrument used were questionnaires with a Likert scale of four answers and a test. Feasibility of learning module on the material aspects was classified feasible category (details: highly feasible of 12.22%, feasible of 82.22%, and sufficiently feasible of 5.56%). Feasibility of learning module on the media aspects was classified feasible category (details: highly feasible of 15.85%, feasible of 80.49%, sufficiently feasible of 1.22%, and not feasible of 2.44%). The result of limited test yielded outcomes classifield as feasible category (details: highly feasible of 15.97%, feasible of 78.47%, and sufficiently feasible of 5.56%). The performance of the module on the learning activities carried out on 32 students got a feasible category (details: highly feasible of 8.65%, feasible of 83.54%, sufficiently feasible of 7.08%, and not feasible of 0.73%). The improved learning outcome after using the module was calculated using the gain score formula with the result of 0.56 with a mean score of 6.85 on pretest and mean of 8.93 on posttest.
