PENGEMBANGAN TESTING AND HANDLING TRAINER SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TEKNIK KONTROL

Abstract


Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui rancang bangun testing and handling trainer sebagai media pembelajaran teknik kontrol Program Keahlian Mekatronika SMKN 1 Bawang Banjarnegara; (2) mengetahui kelayakan testing and handling trainer sebagai media pembelajaran teknik tontrol Program Keahlian Mekatronika SMKN 1 Bawang Banjarnegara; (3) mengetahui peningkatan kompetensi siswa dengan menggunakan media testing and handling trainer di SMKN 1 Bawang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research and  Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE menurut Branch. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran testing and handling untuk pembelajaran teknik kontrol pada kompetensi pemrograman Programmable Logic Control (PLC) yang memiliki prinsip kerja memindahkan benda dari satu tempat ke dua tempat lain berdasarkan tinggi benda dengan menggunakan gripper; (2) kelayakan media pembelajaran testing and hanlding pada mata pelajaran teknik kontrol berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli media mendapatkan skor rerata 64 dari skor maksimum 80 dengan kategori “Layak”, penilaian dari ahli materi mendapatkan skor rerata 69,5 dari skor maksimum 84 dengan kategori “Sangat Layak” dan penilaian pengguna mendapatkan skor 78,65 dari skor maksimum 100 dengan kategori “Layak” ; (3) pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran testing and handling meningkatkan kompetensi siswa, hal ini dibuktikan rata-rata skor peserta didik meningkat dari 54,17 menjadi 75,27. Hasil gainscore dikategorikan sedang. Sedangkan presentase kelulusan meningkat dari dari 19% menjadi 68%.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) know the design of testing and handling trainer as a control technique learning media for Mechatronics Vocational Program of SMKN 1 Bawang Banjarnegara; (2) know the feasibility of testing and handling trainer as control technique learning media for Mechatronics Vocational Program SMKN 1 Bawang Banjarnegara; (3) know the improvement of student competence at SMKN 1 Bawang by using testing and handling trainer. This research was a Research and Development (R & D) research with the development model of ADDIE, proposed by Branch. The results of the research were: (1) the development of testing and handling instructional media for learning control technique on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programming competence which has a working principle of moving objects from one place to two other places based on height of the object using gripper; (2) based on the assessment of the media experts, the feasibility of testing and handling learning media on control technique subject obtained an average score of 64 out of 80 and was categorized as "Feasible", the assessment of the material experts obtained an average score of 69.5 out of 84 and was categorized as "Very Feasible" and the users rating achieved 78.65 score out of 100 and was categorized as "Feasible"; (3) the use of testing and handling learning media in the teaching and learning process improved students competence, it was proved in the average score of students which increased  from 54.17 to 75.27. The gainscore results was 0.406 or categorized as moderate. Meanwhile, the percentage of passing level increased from 19% to 68%.
