THE EFFECT OF “TANAH SURGA KATANYA” MOVIE UTILIZATION AS A LEARNING SUBJECT MEDIA FOR CIVIC EDUCATION TOWARDS STUDENTS NASIONALISM ATTITUDE

Abstract

The aims of the study is to determine the effect of  “Tanah Surga Katanya” movie utilization as a learning subject media  compared with power point slide media on the subjects of civic education towards nationalism in the students .

This research is a Pre - experimental research designs ( non-design ) with Intact Group Comparison form . The independent variable in this study is the utilization of the movie "Tanah Surga Katanya" as a learning medium civic education subjects applied in the experimental class, while the dependent variable in this study is the attitude of nationalism in the students who applied to the experimental class and control class. The populations in this study were students of class X SMA N 1 Pengasih. The samples in this study were selected by using random sampling or sample mix. The sample in this study amounted to 62 students that divided into two classes, namely the experimental class with a number of 31 students and grade control with the number of 31 students. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire. This study uses a test independent sample t –test, which previously test the prerequisite namely normality and homogeneity test to analyze the results of data collection.

These results indicate the influence of the use of the movie "Tanah Surga Katanya " as a learning subject media for civic education towards students nationalism attitude the students because it can be seen from the results of hypothesis testing large t are 3.195 and t table with df significance 60 at the level of 5 % by 2,000. T count > t table ( 3.195 > 2.000 ) , or a p-value less than 0.05 ( p = 0.002 <0.05 ), so Ho rejected. The results shows that there are differences nationalism between experimental group and control group after a treatment is given in the form of “Tanah Surga Katanya” heroic movie media.
