PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA POP-UP BOOK PEMBELAJARAN SULAMAN MANIK-MANIK DENGAN MOTIF FLORA UNTUK SMK TATA BUSANA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan produk media pop-up book sulaman manik-manik pada Mata Pelajaran Hiasan Busana di SMK Tata Busana. 2) mengetahui kelayakan media pop-up book sulaman manik-manik pada Mata Pelajaran Hiasan Busana di SMK Tata Busana.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang disederhanakan oleh Tim pusat penelitian kebijakan dan inovasi (puslitjaknov) dengan 5 tahap penelitian yaitu: 1) tahap analisis kebutuhan ,2) Pengembangan Produk 3) validasi ahli dan revisi, 4) uji kelompok kecil, 5) uji kelompok besar. Penelitian ini melibatkan ahli media dan ahli materi, produk diujicobakan kepada 6 siswa untuk uji coba skala kecil dan 20 siswa untuk uji coba skala besar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Tata Busana di SMK Karya Rini. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa: media pembelajaran pop-up book sulaman manik-manik diuji dari 3 ahli media dan 3ahli materi mendapatkan presentase sebesar 100 % termasuk dalam kategori layak. Berdasarkan hasil developmental testing kepada 6 siswa mendapatkan presentase sebesar 83,3% termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Selanjutnya dari hasil validation testing yang diujicoba pada 20 siswa mendapatkan presentase 70% termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan dari siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pop-up book sulaman manik-manik dengan motif flora di SMK Tata Busana sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

This study aimed to: 1) produce pop-up book media for bead embroidery in the Fashion Ornaments subject at the vocational high school (VHS) of Fashion Design, and 2) find out the appropriateness of the developed pop-up book media. This was a research and development study. It referred to Borg and Gall’s development model simplified by a team at the Center for Policy and Innovation Studies with 5 research stages, namely: 1) a needs analysis, 2) product development, 3) expert validation and revision, a) a small-group tryout, and 5) a large-group tryout. The study involved media experts and materials experts. The product was tried out to 6 students in the small-scale tryout and 20 students in the large-scale tryout. The research subjects were students of Grade XI of Fashion Design at SMK Karya Rini. The data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques.The results of the study were as follows. 1) The product was pop-up book learning media for bead embroidery which were rated appropriate through a research and development process. 2) The pop-up book learning media for bead embroidery were rated appropriate by 100% by 3 media experts and materials experts; the media were appropriate to be used as learning media. Based on the results of developmental testing involving 6 students, the media attained 83.3%, which was in the very appropriate category. Then, based on the results of the validation testing through the tryout involving 20 students, the media attained 70%, which was in the very appropriate category. Based on the results of the appropriateness testing involving the students, it can be concluded that the pop-up book media for bead embroidery with flora motifs for VHS of Fashion Design are very appropriate as learning media.
