HUBUNGAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI MATA PELAJARAN TEKNIK PEMESINAN BUBUT TERHADAP KESIAPAN KERJA SISWA TEKNIK PEMESINAN SMK N 2 WONOSARI

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara penguasaan kompetensi siswa pada mata pelajaran Teknik Pemesinan Bubut terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII Teknik Pemesinan SMK N 2 Wonosari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII Teknik Pemesinan SMK N 2 Wonosari sebanyak 93 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi nilai siswa dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi memiliki hubungan yang positif terhadap kesiapan kerja, yang mana setiap kenaikan 1% kompetensi akan meningkatkan kesiapan kerja sebesar 1,9213%. Hubungan tersebut signifikan di level 1% karena nilai p < 0,01. Dengan kata lain, kompetensi yang dimiliki siswa akan meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa yang merujuk pada kondisi keseluruhan baik mental dan fisik atau kemampuan siswa yang membuatnya siap untuk menanggapi dan mempraktikkan suatu kegiatan atau suatu pekerjaan.

The objective of this study was to find out the correlation between the competencies in mastering lathe engineering as the subject matter and the working readiness of grade XII students of mechanical engineering department SMK N 2 Wonosari. This research was a correlational descriptive study which used a quantitative approach. The population of this research was 93 students of grade XII lathe engineering department SMK N 2 Wonosari. The data were obtained from the documents of the students’ scores and the questionnaires. The result of the research study showed that there was a positive correlation between the students’ competencies and the students’ working readiness which were shown that the increase of every 1% of the competencies will also increase 1.9213% of the students’ working readiness. The correlation was significant in level 1% because of p < 0, 01. The conclusion showed that the students’ competencies increased the students’ working readiness both the aspects of physic, mental, and the students’ competencies which make them ready to implement the particular job.Abstract english version,  written using Time New Roman-11, italic.
