EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PADA MATA PELAJARAN JARINGAN DASAR KELAS X PROGRAM KEAHLIAN TEKNIK KOMPUTER JARINGAN SMK MA’ARIF 1 WATES

Abstract
This research aims to know: (1) the effectiveness of problem based learning method in basic network compare to conventional method, (2) the difference of learning outcomes in cognitive aspects of Problem Based Learning method with conventional learning method, (3) the difference of learning outcomes in psychomotor aspects of Problem Based Learning method with conventional learning method.
This research was Quasi-Experiment research. The subjects of this study was 53 students of SMK Ma’arif 1 Wates from class X Network Computer study program. This study was classified into two groups, namely an experiment group and a control group. This research was designed using non-equivalent control group design. The data was collected using test and non-test instruments. The analysis was utilized descriptive and parametric approach.
The results of this research are: (1) effectiveness using problem based learning average score gain have 0,80 include in the high of category and using conventional method average score gain have 0,64 include in the moderate of category, (2) there are differences in learning outcomes of Problem Based Learning method with conventional learning method in cognitive aspects, (3) there are differences in learning outcomes of Problem Based Learning method with conventional learning method in psychomotor aspects.

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini dirancang untuk: (1) mengetahui efektivitas menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran jaringan dasar dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional, (2) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional pada aspek kognitif, (3) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pada aspek psikomotorik penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan Quasi-Experiment. Subyek penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas X Program Keahlian Teknik Komputer Jaringan SMK Ma’arif 1 Wates sebanyak 53 siswa. Siswa dibagi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakan non-equivalent control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes dan instrumen non tes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan parametrik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) efektivitas menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mempunyai rerata skor skor gain sebesar 0,80 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan efektivitas penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional memiliki skor gain sebesar 0,64 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional pada aspek kognitif, (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional pada aspek psikomotorik.
