Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Problem Solving terhadap pengembangan kompetensi keahlian peserta didik kelas X TITL di SMK Negeri 1 Pundong. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode problem solving lebih baik dibanding metode think-pair-share (thitung= 4,343 > ttabel= 2,000; sig= 0,000), nilai rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,92 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 74,4.(2) hasil belajar siswa aspek afektif yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode problem solving lebih baik dibanding metode think-pair-share (thitung = 2,026 > ttabel = 2,000; sig= 0,048), nilai rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 86,66 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 83,03.(3) hasil belajar siswa aspek psikomotorik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode problem solving lebih baik dibanding metode think-pair-share (thitung = 2,313 > ttabel = 2,000; sig= 0,031), nilai rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 86,66 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 83,03. Gain score untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 0,57 sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,65, kedua kriteria gain score tersebut menunjukan bahwa nilai gain kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibanding kelas kontrol.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the method of problem solving for the development of learners’ competency skills class X TITL in Vocational High Scholl in achieving competencies that include cognitive, affective. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and t-test. The survey result revealed that: (1) the results of student learning cognitive aspects of the following study with methods of problem solving is better than the method of think-pair-share (t= 4,343 > ttable= 2,000; sig= 0,000), the average value the experimental class at 85,92 while the control class is 74,4. (2) the students learning outcomes that follow the affective aspects of learning with problem solving method is better than the method of think-pair-share (t= 2,026 > ttable = 2,000; sig= 0,048), the average value of the experimental class at 86,66 while control class is 83,03. (3) psychomotor aspects of student learning outcomes that follow learning with problem solving method is better than the method think-pair-share (t= 2,313 > ttable = 2,000; sig= 0,031), the average value of the experimental class at 86,66 while the control class is 83,03. Gain score for the control class is 0,57, while the experimental class is 0,65, the second criterion gain score indicates that the value of the gain is greater than the experimental class control class.
