Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine improvement: (1) students learning activeness through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning models on the subjects of Basic Electricity and Electronics, and (2)student learning results of psychomotor and cognitive domains through models learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) on the subjects of Basic Electrical and Electronics. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The results of this study indicate that the application of the STEM learning model can improve student learning outcomes and activeness in the Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects. The learning test results used the test instruments in the first cycle obtained 78.12% pass the exam, and the second cycle 84.38% increased by 6.26%. The average grade in the first cycle was 75.31 and the second cycle was 78.44, which increased by 3.13, while the results of the psychomotor domain observation in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 77.93% and the second cycle was 81.05 % an increase by 3.12%, and learning activeness in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 77.39% and the second cycle of 80.75% increased by 3.36%. Therefore the STEM learning model can be used as an alternative learning model to improve the activeness and results of student learning outcome.
