PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA MENGGUNAKAN OPEN-ENDED LEARNING

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap aspek afektif dalam pembelajaran praktik dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Open-Ended Learning di SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta dan (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) dengan metode pembelajaran Open-Ended Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus dua kali pertemuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan instrumen pretest dan posttest. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kriteria keberhasilannya adalah persentase ketuntasan siswa minimal 75% dan prestasi belajar sesuai KKM sekolah yaitu 75. Hasil penelitian terlihat adanya peningkatan persentase semua penilaian aspek afektif siklus I sebesar 37,50% dan meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 78,57%. Pada siklus II semua indikator telah sama atau lebih dari 75%. Aspek kognitif siswa mengalami peningkatan terlihat dari nilai rata-rata pre-test siklus I sebesar 60,94 meningkat menjadi 84,38 pada post-test siklus II.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) increase students' awareness of affective aspects in practical learning using Open-Ended Learning method in SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta and (2) improve student learning outcomes in Occupational Health and Safety (K3) subject by learning method Open-Ended Learning. This study was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. Data collection were using observation sheets and instrument of pretest and posttest. The data analysis used was qualitative and quantitative research technique. The success criteria was the percentage of students completeness for at least 75% and the achievement of learning according to the minimum mastery criteria school that is 75. The results of the study implies that there was improvement of percentage in all assessment affective aspects of cycle I with 37.50% and it increased in the second cycle with 78.57%. In the cycle II all indicators had equal or more than 75%. The cognitive aspect of students had increased, it had seen from the average value of pre-test in the cycle I with 60.94, it increased to 84.38 in the post-test of cycle II.
