Abstract


The problems in this study are types of grammatical and lexical cohesion in the discourse of the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015 and the markers. The study aims to explain types of grammatical and lexical cohesion in the discourse of the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015 and the markers.This was a descriptive study. The research data were sentences containing markers of grammatical and lexical cohesion. The research data sources were the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015. The data collection technique was the reading and writing technique. The data were collected by data cards. The research instrument was the researcher herself as human instrument. The data were analyzed by means of the descriptive technique. The researcher explained types and markers of grammatical and lexical cohesion in the discourse of the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015. The data trustworthiness was enhanced by theory triangulation. The results of the study indicate that types and markers of grammatical cohesion in the discourse of the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015 include references, substitutions, ellipses and conjunctions. Types and markers of lexical cohesion in the discourse of the health rubrics in the Panjebar Semangat magazine of 2015 include repetitions, synonyms and hyponyms.
