SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF THE LYRICS DOLANAN SONGS IN COLLECTIONS DVD OF CHILDREN SONGS

Abstract

This research has a purpose to describe semiotic analysis of the dolanan songs’ lyrics in the collection of Nusantara songs children DVD. This research method using descriptive research method. This research describes the element of semiotic and the function of the element of semiotic of the dolanan songs’ lyrics in the collection of Nusantara songs children DVD. Data in the form of heuristic reading, hermeneutics, elements and functions of semiotic elements. Semiotic analysis method, listening and writing techniques to collect data. The data were analyzed using Charles Sanders Pierce analysis method then described descriptively. To validate data using validity and reliability. The results of this study describes readings in heuristic, hermeneutic, elements and functions of the element of semiotic. Semiotic element is divided into three, namely icon, index, and symbol. The function of the semiotic element of the dolanan songs’ lyrics in this study is used to show the same markers and markers, causes and relationships that are arbitrary.
