DEVELOPING THE MEDIA OF GENEALOGY AND CHARACTERISTICS OF WAYANG PANDHAWA USING ADOBE FLASH CS 6 APPLICATION FOR GRADE IV STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Abstract

This research has three goals which are (1) steps in developing the media of Wayang Pandawa using Adobe Flash CS 6 Applicationfor Grade IV Students of Elementary School; (2) the quality of the media of Wayang Pandawa using Adobe Flash CS 6 Application for Grade IV Students of Elementary School; (3) Javanese teacher’s and the student’s opinions as the users of the media.

This study belongs to Research and Development (RnD). There are five steps in developing the media which are analysis; planning; developing the media; validation and trial; and the finished product. This product was judged by the experts in order to be trialed to the students. The data analysis used descriptive analytical technique.

The results of this research show that the media was developed using : (1) analysis: curicculum analysis and need analysis; (2) planning: making flowchart and storyboard; (3) developing the media: using Adobe Flash CS 6 Application; (4) validation and trial: expert validation by the lecturer of materials expert and the lecturer of media expert, judgement from the Javanese teacher and grade IV students; (5) finished product; revision based on the validation result and trial. The validation from the lecturer of materials expert gained 84,7% categorized as excellent, the validation from the the lecturer of media expertgained 77,7% categorized as good and the media quality from the Javanese teacher gained 98% categorized as excellent, the students opinions gained 86,8% categorized as totally agree. Those results show that the media of Wayang Pandawa using Adobe Flash CS 6 Application for Grade IV Students of Elementary School can be used in the Javanese teaching and learning process.
