DESIGNING SHORT STORY FLASHBOOK LEARNING MEDIA FOR THE 8TH GRADE STUDENT OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract


       This study aims to : (1) explain the steps of designing short story flashbook  learning media for grade VIII students (2) evaluate the quality of the short story flashbook learning media by the material expert and the media expert, and (3) analyze the Javanese teacher’s valuation and students’ opinion about the media. This study belongs to Research and Development (R&D). The results of the study are (1) the media are designed through five steps namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, (2) the validation from the material expert toward the quality of the media is  93%, and the validation from the media’s expert is 80 %, and 3)the media evaluation form Javanese Teacher is 100 % and the opinion from the students toward the flashbook learning media  is 86%. This study shows that short story flashbook learning media can be used as learning media in learning about short story material.
