Abstract

hitung 5.042 (>1.96).

Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) the contribution of physical factors in optimizing the dribble ability of
extracurricular basketball man athletes in high school level, (2) the contribution of technical factors in optimizing
the dribble ability of extracurricular basketball man athletes in high school level, and (3) the contribution of
physical and technical factors in optimizing the dribble ability of extracurricular basketball man athletes in high
school level.
This study was a quantitative non-experimental design, the writer used correlation method. The population
in the study were men athletes in basketball extracurricular of senior high school in Batang. The total population
which was used were 5 senior high schools in Batang. The research sample was determined using total sampling
method. The samples derived from Senior High School 1 Batang, Senior High School 2 Batang, Senior High School
1 Subah, Senior High School 1 Wonotunggal, and Senior High School 1 Bandar, with the total sample were 62
participants. The collected data used measurement tests and rubrics. The instruments in this research were
physical and technical factors test. The data were analyzed with SEM Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using
SmartPLS program version 3.0.
The results of this study indicated that: (1) There was a positive contribution to the physical factor in
optimizing the dribble ability of extracurricular basketball man athletes in high school level, as evidenced by the
path coefficient of 37.8% and t value 3,183 (> 1.96). (2) There was a positive contribution to technical factors in
optimizing the dribble ability of extracurricular basketball man athletes in high school level, as evidenced by the
path coefficient of 60.5% and t value 5.042 (> 1.96). (3) There was a positive contribution to the physical and
technical factors in optimizing the dribble ability of extracurricular basketball man athletes in high school level, as
evidenced by the coefficient of determination of 94.5%.
