PENGEMBANGAN MULTIMEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI BERDASARKAN PENDEKATAN PROSES UNTUK SISWA SMP KELAS VII

Abstract


This study aimed to develop learning media write explanatory text is based
on a process approach for junior high school students of Class VII and test the
feasibility of such media.
This study was a research and development. The procedure used in this
study refers to a procedure developed by the multimedia development Allesi and
Trollip. The development procedures include: (1) planning, (2) design, and (3)
development. The planning stage includes the determination of the scope, identify
the characteristics of the students, and the collection of teaching materials. The
design phase includes the analysis of the concept of matter, the making flowcharts
and storyboards. The final stage of the development process includes the
preparation of multimedia components, programming, and evaluation. Evaluation
of test consists of alpha and beta testing. Alpha test subject is a subject matter
expert and media experts, while the beta test consists of an Indonesian teacher and
20 students of Junior High School 2 Purworejo. Data retrieval is done by
performing validation using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by
changing the quantitative data into qualitative data by using a Likert scale with
scores range from 1 to 5.
The results showed that: (a) an assessment of the subject matter experts on
multimedia products developed interactive learning gained an average score of
4.38 catergories in the category of "very good"; (B) expert assessment of the
media to multimedia products developed interactive learning gained an average
score of 3.81 catergories in the category of "good"; (C) an assessment of the
teacher as a user Indonesian obtained an average score of 4.3 catergories in the
category of "very good"; (D) assessment of students as users gained an average
score of 4.58 catergories in the category of "very good". Based on these results
revealed that the multimedia interactive learning to write explanatory text based
on the process approach to junior high school students of Class VII "worth" is
used as a learning resource.
