PHILOLOGYCAL STUDY AND THE VALUE OFLEADERSHIP IN THE SERAT CINGKÅRÅDÉWÅ MANUSCRIPT

Abstract


This study has six different aims after manuscript inventaritation. Consequently, they are (1) to describe the Serat Cingkaradewa manuscript, (2) to make the transcript of Serat Cingkaradewa text, (3) to make the transliteration of Serat Cingkaradewa text, (4) to make the editing of Serat Cingkaradewa text, (5) to make the translation of Serat Cingkaradewa text, and (6) to analyze the value of leadership in Serat Cingkaradewa text. The methods used in this study are descriptive and philological research method. Semantic validity is used in this study as the validity measurement. The reliability used in this study is intra-rater and inter-rater reliability. The result of this study includes six different chapters. The first chapter explains about the description of Serat Cingkaradewa manuscript, whose condition is still good and the writing can be read clearly. The second is about the Serat Cingkaradewa transcription text, which is done by re-writing the Serat Cingkaradewa text by using Javanese letters through handwriting as it is. Third result, the transliteration of Serat Cingkaradewa text results the characterization of the text. The fourth result is the editing of Serat Cingkaradewa text, which is done by lessening or adding the letter, word, corrupted sentence. In total, there are three words in the critical apparatus. The fifth result is the translation of Serat Cingkaradewa text. There is one word found in the translation note. The twenty fift result consists of 25 leadership values in the Serat Cingkaradewa text.
