Abstrak
Status kebugaran jasmani yang baik dan tubuh ideal tentu merupakan harapan semua
orang. Olahraga merupakan salah satu bentuk aktivitas yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencapai
tujuan tersebut. Banyak member fitness di ROS-IN Hotel Fitness Center memiliki berat badan
berlebih dan daya tahan paru jantung yang kurang bagus, sehingga menghambat aktivitas seharihari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh latihan circuit training
terhadap Max, Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan persentase lemak tubuh member fitness
ROS-IN Hotel Yogyakarta.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-eksperimental design dengan one group pretest
and posttest group desaign. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah member yang mengikuti
program penurunan berat badan, usia antara 19-25 tahun, serta sudah aktif latihan selama
minimal 3 bulan dan maksimal 2 tahun di ROS-IN Hotel Fitness Center. Teknik pengambilan
sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak sebanyak 10 orang.
Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes dan pengukuran. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan
uji t untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbeadan variabel antara pretest dan posttest pada
kelompok eksperimen.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan uji t pada data Max diperoleh nilai t hitung 2,449 > t
tabel 2,26, dan nilai signifikansi 0,037 < 0.05, dengan peningkatan persentase sebesar 1,16%.
Hasil uji t pada data indeks massa tubuh diperoleh nilai t hitung 5,797 > t tabel 2,26, dan nilai
signifikansi 0,000 < 0.05, dengan penurunan persentase sebesar 4,57%. Hasil uji t pada data
presentase lemak tubuh diperoleh nilai t hitung 5,356 > t tabel 2,26, dan nilai signifikansi 0,000
< 0.05, dengan penurunan persentase sebesar 6,22%. Penelitian dapat ditarik sebuah kesimpulan
bahwa latihan circuit training dapat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Max,
Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan presentase lemak tubuh member fitness ROS-IN Hotel
Yogyakarta. Circuit training dapat dijadikan pedoman untuk latihan peningkatan Max,
penurunan berat badan dan lemak yang efektif dan efisien.

EFFECTS OF CIRCUIT TRAINING ON MAX, BODY MASS INDEX, AND THE
BODY FAT PERCENTAGE OF ROS-IN HOTEL YOGYAKARTA FITNESS MEMBER
ABSTRACT
Finest physical fitness status and ideal body certainly was the hope of everyone. Doing
sports was one of the activities that could be taken to achieve that goal. Many fitness members of
ROS-IN Hotel Fitness Center had the overweight condition and their heart lung endurance was
not very good, thus it bothered the daily activities. This research intended in figuring out the
effects of the circuit training on Max, Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage of
the fitness members of ROS-IN Hotel Yogyakarta.
This research was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest group
design. The sample was the fitness members who applied a weight loss program, aged between
19-25 years old, and had been active doing exercise for at least 3 months and a maximum of 2
years in ROS-IN Hotel Fitness Center. The sampling technique employed purposive sampling
with a sample size of 10 people. The data collection was performed by test and measurement.
The data analysis was using t-test to determine whether there were some differences on the
variables between pretest and posttest in the experimental group.
These results indicated that the t test on the data for Max showed the score of t count
at 2.449 > t table at 2.26, and the significant value at 0.037 < 0.05, with a percentage increase at
1.16%. T test results on the body mass index data showed the score of t count at 5.797 > t table at
2.26, and the significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, with a decrease in the percentage at 4.57%. T test
results on the body fat percentage showed the score of t count at 5.356 > t table at 2.26, and
0.000 significant value of < 0.05, with a decrease in the percentage at 6.22%. It could be drawn a
conclusion that the circuit training could have a significant effect on VO2 Max, Body Mass
Index (BMI) and body fat percentage of the fitness members of ROS-IN Hotel Yogyakarta.
Circuit training could be used as guidelines for practice improvement on Max, weight loss
and fat that was effective and efficient.
