Abstract

Electrolysis, conductivity and TDS (Total Disolved Solid) is one of the parameters in determining the quality of a drinking water by utilizing the electrical conductivity that is present in water which is then processed in arduino uno and displayed the result on the LCD. The objective of this final project is to design and construct drinking water quality detector using arduino uno electrolysis and conductivity and to know the performance of the design of this tool. The design of drinking water quality detector using arduino uno-based eloktrolisis and conductivity consists of several stages: needs identification, needs analysis, circuit diagram block, system design, toolmaking step, program flow diagram, tool testing and data retrieval. This tool uses arduino uno microcontroller, aluminum metal and iron as electrolysis cell for electrolysis which serves to reduce H2O, stainless metal as electrode cells for conductivity that serves to capture electric conductivity of water and LCD used to display the results. The results of the design of drinking water quality detector using arduino uno electrolysis and conductivity is able to function well. Compared to the manufacturer's premises, the average error of conductivity measurement is 2.32%, the average error in the measurement of TDS is 2.63% and in the electrolysis process can work well by being able to display the dissolved solids or solids contained in drinking water.
